FATHER MAXI'S CORNER

FATHER MAXI'S CORNER

I am Father Maxi Charitable Derisseau, native of Haiti and I joined Missionhurst-CICM in 1995. I was sent to Mexico in 1998 and ordained in 2005. After many years engaged in ministry pastoral at The Nuestra Señora del Consuelo and Divina Providencia Parish in the City of Mexico, since 2011 I was transferred to Guatemala where I am actually working as parish priest in Calvario Parish and as diocesan Vicar of Pastoral in the Diocese of The Verapaz, Cobán, Alta Verapaz, Guatemala. I am also leading social commitments at The Betania Center/CEPROCOBE through food, health and educational programs for the needy people.

As missionary CICM, behalf of fellow, I sincerely thank all of you my benefactors, men and women of good will around the globe who have made our mission possible through their prayers and financial support. May I share with you quoting the words of one of my venerable companions who sent to Guatemala, passed away 25 years ago and left us a handwritten flash of his faith conviction:
“God has no hands but ours to do His work
God has no face but ours to smile at people
God has no mouth but ours to encourage people”.
